Profile tubes made of phenolic paper type Krüpax 80-P are, mainly used in the electronic industry and there are used in the low voltage sector as insulators. In the industry for switches and also in the high voltage sector there are used profile tubes made of Krüpax 80-P because of their superior characteristics. These profile tubes can have a quadratic, rectangular, oval or hexagonal cross-section depending on the available tools. Besides that we can also cut out squares in L- and U-shape of the profile tubes. Rods made of Krüpax 80-P are used as blank for turned parts.
Structure: Profile tubes made of Krüpax consist of with phenolic resin impregnated paper-lengths. They are parallel winded on winding machines and then get exactly shaped and at the same time hardened in hydraulic presses and heated presstools. There the layers get indissoluble. The finished rods or tubes then get worked as the customer wishes. Rods are coreless winded and then get compressed in hydraulic presses.
